Teaching:
•  Introduction to Digital Imaging Foundation computer graphic course using Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Dreamweaver.
•  Multimedia web design Introduction to multimedia using Macromedia Flash.
•  Introduction to 3D animation Foundation using AutoDesk's 3D Studio Max. Introduces concepts and theories of three dimensional animation techniques.
•  3D animation level 1 and 2 Advanced topics in creating animation for television using AutoDesk's 3D Studio Max and Combustion. Sophisticated composting techniques and real-world approaches to animation creation.
•  Art in the Era of Mass Communication Theory class on the relationship commercial art plays in current identity design industries: print – Internet - television.
•  Multimedia Production tools Foundation course to introduce various computer graphics applications.

•  Redesigned graduate and undergraduate curriculum to fit new goals of department.
•  Consistently scored above average on student review forms.
•  Created graduate internship in computer graphics with Cold Spring Harbor Labs.
•  Created graduate internship in computer graphics with News12 Long Island.

Service:
•  Coordinator Graduate Computer Graphics program Old Westbury
•  Created the (MGL) Motion Graphics Lab to support all graduate and undergraduate communication arts computer graphics classes.
•  Implemented and managed graduate assistant and tutor programs.
•  Designed and maintained the MGL website: http://iris.nyit.edu/~plipsky/mgl used for recruitment of graduate program.
•  Faculty Senate 2000 - 2005
•  Co-chaired Educational Technology Committee 1999 - 2004
•  Communication Arts Curriculum Committee 1999 - 2005
•  Participated in the creation of the 5 year Office of Information Technology's Strategic Plan.
•  Participated in a meeting with NYIT's International colleagues sponsored by office of International programs. This led to the creation of an animation for the 2nd annual NYIT graduation in Jordon.
•  Presented to the 2nd Annual Faculty Scholars Reception on the Solar Decathlon Project.
•  Participated in production meetings for NYIT's graduation ceremony for the Commencement Executive Committee which resulted in the creation of a 3D animation.
•  Participated in the search committee to head office of research and grants.
•  January 2003 coordinator of a new Masters degree in Communication Arts in Florida .
•  Participated in the Instructional Technology Strategic Planning meeting.
•  Participated in the Strategic IP Planning Meetings.
•  Presented to the 1st Annual Faculty Scholars Reception for research done from a grant from the LEGO Corporation entitled “Wrapping the World”
•  Created a new animated “open” for LI News Tonight that currently airs nightly.
